My name is Darryl Pogue, and I live in British Columbia, Canada. I’m an avid programmer and Myst fan.

I started hacking Uru and Plasma in 2004.

So basically, “Paradox” is the name that I try to use on forums and in chats. However, sometimes the name is taken, and more often people feel the need to shorten “Paradox” to something even smaller. This is a list of the random nicknames that I’ve been called :P

I downloaded your D’ni clock utility, and I noticed something weird. It seems to get out of sync if you leave it running. I left the clock on overnight, and started a new instance of the program the next morning. The strange thing was, is that the times displayed were off my several D’ni hours (sorry, can’t remember the D’ni word at the moment [shows how awesome of a fan I am =P ]). Any word on why it gets out of sync like that? Thank you. Love the blog.

That D’ni Clock was never really stable; I’ll see about writing a new version in the future with some more accurate classes.

  3. i would like to help out, i worked last year using blender and max to design/build a few simple ages (attempted some doors… (sadly they were lousy….)) a few cave ages… having a pretty comprehensive programming background i want to do something with the “guild of writers” but i would like that something to be part of a unified project and not on an individual level. i had to fight myself not to buy guildofwriters.com it was very tempting… again, i figured it’d be best to team up, rather than go it solo
