Day 6

Today was lie a flood of red shirts through the capital. Singers, performers, and thousands of people filled the streets for Canada Day. We toured the Royal Canadian Mint building and got some commemorative 50 cent coins, and wandered through the ByWard Market. Also stopped by the Rideau Canal and watched the locks for a while. Ottawa is really just a nice city with a large number of old buildings. This is what I’m hoping Québec City will be like when we visit.

Fireworks are starting at 10:00 tonight, so I’m posting this before-hand. I’ll try to add some photos later, once everything is calmed down a bit more. Finally got some Toronto photos up on Facebook ^_^
